According to the report of the Communications and International Affairs Department of the Arak metropolis municipality, coinciding with the anniversary of the 9th of Dey epic, the highest three-colored flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran was raised in the Arak cemetery. This sacred flag, with an area of 242 square meters and atop a 50-meter high pole, was installed in section 5 of the cemetery. In order to observe various important occasions, the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran is raised for the days of the year and a special mourning flag is raised for the days of Muharram and Safar. The flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a national and unifying symbol under which all people come together in empathy and unity.
