Holding the Thirteenth Meeting of Arak Municipality’s Facade Committee with an Emphasis on Giving Identity to the Urban Landscape

 According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, Zandieh-Vakili, Deputy for Urban Planning and Architecture of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, while explaining the details of the thirteenth specialized meeting on facade and urban landscape, stated: The thirteenth session of this committee this year was held at the Urban Planning and Architecture Deputy Office of Arak Municipality with the aim of precise evaluation, expert review, and final approval of the submitted architectural plans and drawings. In this meeting, which was held with the حضور of respected committee members, senior experts in architecture and urban planning, and relevant representatives, the files and construction plans as well as the regulations for guiding and controlling urban facades were subjected to detailed expert review from various aesthetic, local identity, structural, and contextual compatibility perspectives. Zandieh-Vakili, emphasizing the importance of organizing the urban image and landscape and preventing visual disorder across the metropolis, added: Based on the policies of this deputy office and considering the sensitivity of the issue, the Facade Committee meets in a completely regular and continuous manner, twice a week. The regular holding of these meetings, in addition to speeding up the process of handling citizens’ and builders’ cases, has provided a suitable platform so that supervisors and experts can implement Iranian and Islamic architectural patterns and modern urban planning regulations in Arak’s building facades with high precision. The Deputy for Urban Planning and Architecture of Arak Municipality concluded by noting: At the end of this meeting, after discussion and exchange of views among the members, the necessary expert decisions regarding the reviewed plans were made. For some of the cases that required revision, corrective tasks were communicated to the designers to improve the visual quality of urban streets, so that ultimately we may witness a coherent, beautiful, and harmonious facade across the city.
