According to the City news and analysis website, the farewell ceremony for the service personnel of the Tehran Municipality Fire Department and Safety Services Organization, held to provide services to Arbaeen pilgrims in 1405 AH, was held on Thursday, the first of Mordad 1405, with the حضور of Davoud Goudarzi, Deputy for Urban Services and Environment of Tehran Municipality, and Ghodratollah Mohammadi, CEO of the Tehran Municipality Fire Department and Safety Services Organization.

Davoud Goudarzi, Deputy for Urban Services and Environment of Tehran Municipality, said on the sidelines of this ceremony to reporters that Tehran Municipality’s urban services forces and facilities have been widely deployed at the country’s borders, Iraqi pilgrimage cities, and routes leading to the Arbaeen ceremony.

Referring to the planning carried out to serve Arbaeen pilgrims, he said: Like in previous years, Tehran Municipality will provide the urban services needed by pilgrims not only at the country’s borders, but also in the cities of Najaf, Karbala, and Kadhimiya, as well as along the Arbaeen walking route. Part of Tehran Municipality’s capacity has also been allocated to holding the “Arbaeen Stay-at-Home” ceremony in the capital in a more magnificent manner, and the remaining forces will be sent to operational areas.

Goudarzi said that the Urban Services Committee of the country’s Arbaeen Headquarters operates with the participation of more than 20 to 22 municipalities from across the country, adding that an appropriate division of labor has been carried out among the country’s municipalities and, with good cooperation and coordination, the public services needed by pilgrims are being provided at the borders and pilgrimage cities.

The Deputy for Urban Services and Environment of Tehran Municipality continued: Providing shade, deploying misting systems, ensuring lighting at night, organizing parking lots, equipping and maintaining sanitary facilities, and cleaning and sweeping the environment are among the most important services planned for the comfort of pilgrims so that, given the high volume of traffic, better conditions can be فراهم for their journey.
